Case of the Cheated Wife

Okay - so maybe it sounds a little like stand by your man, but people get a life - that goes for you too, Maureen Dowd. How Elizabeth Edwards chooses to deal with the issues in her life, how she works through her feelings -- well, that is her choice.

How do we make her the villian in this? It happened almost immediately when the story came out. Blame was foisted on Elizabeth Edwards for standing by him. What is your problem out there?

How many of the people out there complaining and pointing fingers have been forced to deal with the death of a son, terminal cancer, the spotlight of being a presidential candidate's wife, and then forced to deal with the very public exposure of a spouse's affair? If her carthasis is coming public in TV and her book - what is that to you? She's the one dealing with it. She's the one dying. And, she's the one that has to figure out how to handle the rest of her shortened life.

The Birds Is Coming

It is a glorious day. There is warmth, with still a hint of coolness in the air. I am sitting on my deck, after a day of weeding in the yard, watching the birds surround the bird feeders, and dip into the bird bath. Quite a way to spend a spring day.

The bleeding hearts are in full bud, the ferns are unfurling -- and the only sound in the air are the birds. The sky is still blue, though their is the sense of evening settling in.

And I just saw my first hummingbird of the season.
